Event Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct for the Stronger Together Conference

The organizers of the Stronger Together Conference are committed to upholding a high standard of professionalism and decorum throughout the event. As representatives of our collective movement, it is imperative that all volunteers and delegates adhere to the following code of conduct to ensure a respectful and positive experience for everyone involved.

  1. Respectful Conduct: All individuals attending the conference are expected to treat each other with respect and dignity. This includes refraining from engaging in any form of harassment, discrimination, or disrespectful behavior towards others.

  2. Open Dialogue: The Stronger Together Conference welcomes diverse perspectives and encourages open dialogue on a wide range of topics related to our shared goals. Delegates can expect to encounter opinions and viewpoints that may differ from their own. It is essential to engage in constructive conversations and to listen with an open mind, even when disagreements arise.

  3. Freedom of Speech: Freedom of speech is fundamental to our democratic principles. We recognize and defend the right of every individual to express their opinions freely, regardless of whether they align with our own beliefs. It is our duty to uphold this right and to resist any attempts to censor or silence differing viewpoints.

  4. Professionalism: As representatives of the Stronger Together movement, we must conduct ourselves with professionalism and integrity at all times. This includes refraining from engaging in disruptive or inappropriate behavior that may reflect negatively on the conference or our broader community. Unruly and loud conduct will not be tolerated.

  5. Media and Public Perception: The Stronger Together Conference will be under scrutiny from both attending groups and external media outlets. It is essential that we present ourselves in the best possible light and maintain a positive public image throughout the event. Delegates should be mindful of their actions and words, recognizing their potential impact on the perception of our movement.

  6. Just a reminder: we do not want to embrace the very thing (censorship) that we despise: Democracy is a challenging journey. At its heart lies the unwavering defense of Freedom of Speech—a cornerstone of any free society. To nurture a genuine democracy where freedom of speech thrives, we must stand ready to defend, with every fiber of our being, the right of every individual to express opinions, even those diametrically opposed to our own. This commitment extends to defending the rights of others to voice opinions we vehemently oppose, even if it means fighting for their freedom of speech with our last breath.

  7. Private Event: The Stronger Together Conference is a private event, and as such the organizers reserve the right to bar entry to the facility, and or reject anyone from the facility for any reason or without reason.  Local Law Enforcement has been briefed on the event and will stand available if needed.

By adhering to this code of conduct, we hope to make the Stronger Together Conference a productive, inclusive, and respectful gathering that advances our shared objectives.

Together, we can create positive change and strengthen our movement for a better future.
