"Thank You" Will Not Save Us: STOP Watching—START Acting

Updated: 5 days ago

By: Rosalie. Drysdale

What an odd thing to say.  What do I mean by that?

“Thank you” won’t save this country. Neither will “sorry.”

Our freedom, our children’s future—these won’t be secured with polite words. They will be secured through ACTION.

Think I am being too DRAMATIC?

MAiD, prorogation of Parliament, WMR, UNDRIP, COVID-19, new zoning densities, shutdowns, lockdowns, carbon taxes, medical mishaps, police actions, SOGI, transhumanism, inflation, housing affordability, supply chain disruptions, vaccine mandates, digital ID programs, central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), erosion of free speech, rising crime rates, government overreach, cancel culture, media censorship, food shortages, energy crises, global economic instability, World Economic Forum agendas, ESG policies, mass surveillance, artificial intelligence control, climate lockdown proposals, border insecurity, corruption scandals, judicial activism, erosion of parental rights, school indoctrination, digital surveillance infrastructure, rising interest rates, small business closures, loss of personal freedoms, forced medical interventions, globalist policies, property rights erosion, Agenda 2030, government propaganda, excessive taxation, misinformation campaigns, foreign interference in elections, social credit systems, automation replacing jobs, bioengineering experiments, depopulation theories, woke ideology, digital currency trials, job insecurity, big tech monopolies, data breaches, mental health crises, political polarization, technocratic governance, rural land grabs, pharmaceutical lobbying, corporate media bias, environmental extremism, defunding police movements, gender ideology in schools, erosion of traditional values, migrant surges, national debt increases, loss of sovereignty, manipulation of science, corporate influence in politics, fertility rate declines, population displacement, overreaching health regulations, judicial corruption, weaponization of intelligence agencies, global food control, militarization of police, 5G health concerns, erosion of the middle class, eco-terrorism threats, big pharma dominance, rising utility costs, demonization of dissenters, geopolitical tensions, critical race theory in institutions, restrictions on cash usage, AI-driven censorship, green energy mandates, psychological warfare tactics, inflationary pressures on essentials, banning of alternative medicine, restriction of religious freedoms, removal of historical monuments, smart city surveillance, AI replacing creativity, global taxation schemes, manipulation of financial markets, outlawing of protests, and the rise of authoritarian governance.....and there are more, much more!!!

We are ALL busy. We ALL have excuses. But freedom doesn’t wait until it’s convenient. We Canadians are known for being friendly, polite, and quick to say “thank you” and “sorry.” But let me be clear—manners will not carry us through the storm we are facing. Gratitude alone will not rescue this nation. Politeness will not protect our children’s and grandchildren’s futures.

Now is the time to distinguish between being courteous and being courageous.

We are standing on the edge of history. The least we can do—the bare minimum—is to show up for ourselves, our families, and our communities. ONE hour a week. That’s all it takes to join MST’s weekly Zoom meeting, where you’ll hear compelling speakers and engage in real conversations about the state of our nation, the erosion of our freedoms, and the future we must fight for.

This is education that matters—about our government, about the systems and structures shaping every part of society. And you have access to it.

But knowledge without action? That’s complacency.

Let me give you a quick story:

A nice lady once approached me at one of our Saturday WMR information events and said, “Thank you and Ken for everything you do. I’ve been following you for a long time.”   I appreciated her kind words, but then reminded her that we all have to get involved.

I told her to come to as many meetings as she possibly could and then further invite other people she knows to attend as well. I told her this would be very impacting.

She then replied “Well, we’re very busy. Saturdays are our grocery shopping days”, to which I replied, "we're busy too and we also need groceries".  Then she said, "we live in the country and sometimes the roads are not great."  I said, "Yes, I understand.  We live in the country too and the roads are never great".

AHHHHHHHH!
AHHHHHHHH!

You see, we’re all busy. We all have obligations. But freedom itself is the ultimate obligation.

Some of you are showing up, writing letters, attending meetings, and spreading the word. You are the lifeblood of this movement. But to the many who remain silent, passive, and on the sidelines—saying “thank you” and hoping someone else will carry the load—this message is for you.

Joining MST isn’t about patting yourself on the back. It’s about stepping into the arena. We do not need spectators. We need builders, doers, and everyone to put their hand to the plow in some way, shape, or form.

Let’s stop pretending that gratitude is participation.

Einstein once warned, “The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything.”

This is a defining moment. We could be gathering by the hundreds, building momentum, crafting strategies, and committing to real action. The opportunity is here. Are you willing to seize it? Are you willing to fully step into the arena and actively and consistently participate, even when the going gets tough?

Don’t be fooled by the absence of mask mandates or vax passports. The battle is far from over. It has simply changed form. Closing your eyes doesn’t erase the danger.

History has a warning about what happens when good peole sit idly by and hope things "work themselves out."  The German Citizens of the 1930's sat back too.  Sadly, tragically, we know how that ended.

Closing your eyes does not make the threat disappear. We must face it, and we must do it together.

You might say, "you're preaching to the choir".  I know many of you are already active—but even "the choir" must do more than sing on Sunday. The choir leads. It draws others into action. It pulls focus to what matters.  The world is watching.

Talking around kitchen tables, lamenting the state of things, pointing fingers—that changes nothing.

You might feel exasperated and say, "I don't know what to do!"  I can honestly tell you that none of us knew where to start when this all began in 2020.  None of us had the perfect plan.  But we refused to sit and wring our hands. We tried. We stumbled.  We acted.  We found traction.  We built momentum.

The Canadian truckers knew this.  They didn't have a perfect blueprint - they had drive. And they moved mountains!

You will discover your place as you engage. Together we will find our collective strength - STRONGER TOGETHER.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead
